All right!
Sweet!
So, how was Lent - Orthodox style? I tremble at the thought of observing Lent if I were Orthodox. Us Anglo's are pretty soft...
I've got a Pope quote to put up on my site...thought it was wonderful...about prayer etc.
Annie-
You have a macbook?! You butthead! Ha, kinda wish I had one because my Dell Laptop is overrun with viruses and even the techies can't seem to get them off, fully.
I've had trouble accessing my Xanga for several months, but I'm glad to see that you're still active. So many of my discussions with you have been thought-provoking. Even when they aren't, I enjoy them. I grew up in a house where all of the women were quite witty, and our discussions filled a needed void in my life. Been missing that good ol' sarcasm for about a year or so now...
This is sort of on a different subject, but I think I may be headed for Seminary School at either Starr King in Berkley, CA or Meadeville Lombard in Chicago. They're both Unitarian Universalist theological schools. Who'd've thunk it? Richard, a minister? That kid is so far on the left I thought he didn't believe in God!

*In reference to your post on your other Xanga about your experience at VCU (I'm assuming this is something like Virginia Christian University), I have to say, I love quirky diversity.
I grew up in a homogenous town deep in the suburbs of Kansas City-on the Kansas side-called Overland Park. It was just as stereotypical as the people in the city are. Everyone was a WASP, it seemed, or, at the very least, a white Catholic. Everyone there looked the same, talked the same, acted the same, and had more or less the same beliefs. Kinda scares me in retrospect...
Now that I've spent the last several years in the city, I'm not so sure that I could survive without the quirkiness and diversity. At least, not in terrms of the diversity of creeds, cause the discussions promote so much of my growth.
I'm aware that that post was made quite a while ago, btw...How are you doing at VCU now?
Sorry about the novel of a comment, btw...
I'll avoid another novel. Yes, I am on facebook in the University of Missouri-Kansas City network. Good to hear from you as well!
What's your last name, btw? I'll list you as a friend. My full name is Richard Thompson.
